FAQ Soalan-Soalan yang Selalu Ditanya
1. How to identify a registered direct selling company?

A company has to apply for a direct selling license with the direct selling division in the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs. The company has to supply various documents for the department to process for the license. A list of documents required for the application process is listed under the application forms icon in the MDDA website. Upon successful application, the company will be given a direct selling license with an AJL number.

The direct selling company should have the license with AJL number displayed in their offices or distributors can request to see the license. The license has an expiry date. So be sure to check that the license is a valid one.

Alternatively look up the company in the Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan (KPDNKK) website www.kpdnkk.gov.my. Go to Trade under Main Directory and select Direct Sales Industry Management. You will be able to get the entire list of direct selling companies and their licence dates (whether current or expired).

2. How to identify registered health products?

All health products have to be registered with the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau division in the Ministry of Health. Once these products are registered, they will have given MAL numbers. Look out for MAL number on the label of the health products. You can check whether the MAL number is valid by looking up the Ministry of Health website www.bpfk.gov.my. There is a registered product search under the main directory.
